Family and Culture

I believe that every child needs appropriate, loving attention from both parents and educators, especially those with special needs. The teacher should be aware that a family with a child that has special needs experiences a lot of extra stress factors in their life. While i most certainly believe that it is the parents job to take care of the student at home, that's not always the case. An educator can be a huge influence on a child's life. In a situation where the parents don't care for the child  the educator should step in as a leader. Educators should strive to make the child feel that they are worth while and capable of success; if the educator believes that to be true then the child will too.
