The Other Sister Post #2, Inclusion or Not

In the beginning of the movie, Carla's parents argue about where to send her to school. Her mother wants to send her away but her father wants to keep her at home and in a general education school. They end up deciding to send her away, but I think this portrayed a good example of one of the many issues parents have to go through. It is a different case for every child and set of parents, but every one of them has to make this decision. They have to decide if inclusion is the best option, or not. Eventually Carla leaves her special school, and comes back to her home. That is where she decides that she wants to go to a regular high school. She is mature enough to make the decision for herself, and she choses to be in and inclusive environment to gain more education. That is also a good example that the child doesn't stay at the same level of intellectual disability their whole lives. She is able to participate in a general education class at an older age, now.
