The Other Sister Post 4

The title "The Other Sister" has a very significant meaning to the movie. To me the title describes how Carla is noticed differently in the family because of her disability. Her family does not have the mind set that Carla is capable of doing anything she sets her mind to. As we had discussed the importance of family and sibling relationship in class we can all agree that the support of a family is important. Carla's sisters have lived normal lives and received the support from both parents as one of her sisters got married. I believe that the movie was titled "The Other Sister"because Carla is looked at as an individual who needs special attention. I agree with Kaitlyn in that when Carla was sent to the school for special needs her family concentrated on the lives of Carla's two sisters.
