I loved "The Other Sister!" It makes people realize that just because people have a disabilitie doesn't mean they can't live out there dreams and live a "normal life." Carla wanting to go to college and succeed in her future gives me hope for our society in the way we look at people with disabilities. Instead of considering them incapable society can look at them as hard working adults or even hard working students. That they can live up to there full potential! I think this movie should be played in every special and regular classrooms to show that you are capable to do anything you set your mind to, which is very true. "In order to achieve you have to believe." And Carla truly believed she could do it, and she did. Sorry I'm being cheesy, I really believe this movie brings a beautiful concept to the table.

I'm right there with you! I think it's a perfect movie for this class especially. It really shows that people with disabilities can do anything that a typical person can do. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Carla's determination allows her to do and succeed at her dreams.
