In my opinion I would say that Carla has a moderate disability. Carla is obviously slow throughout this movie and is different than her siblings but Carla is still capable of doing many things that her family can do. Carla is very independent she even lived by herself in her own apartment throughout the movie. Carla decided to plan her own wedding. If someone had a extremely severe disability they would not be capable of planning a wedding of their very own. Throughout the whole movie everything proves that Carla is a very independent woman who can do anything that she sets her mind to. Many facts throughout the movie show that Carla's disability isn't an excuse for achieving what she wants to.
