Post #5: The Other Sister

In this post I have decided to share with you my favorite part of the entire film. My favorite part of the movie was when Carla stood up to her mother and told her that she wanted to plan her own wedding and she will be marrying Daniel and if her mother doesn't like that then she shouldn't even bother coming to the wedding. This was my favorite in the film because Carla finally stood her ground and fought back for something she strongly believed in. I think at this point her mother finally realizes that Carla isn't that much different than her other two daughters. They got to plan their own wedding so why didn't Carla get to plane her wedding? Her disability was the only thing her mother saw, her mom never saw Carla as just being Carla until she stood up for herself. I love this part in the movie because her mother couldn't tell her how to live her own life, Carla took control of her own life and how she was going to live it.
