The Other Sister Post #1

In the film, The Other Sister, Carla demonstrates conceptual skills by making bracelets for everyone in her family and spelling out their names in beads. She also plans out her wedding in her own way and not considering what her mother wants. It is her day and it will be done how she wants it. Social Skills are in multiple parts of this movie. For example, her skills of communication are not appropriate towards her age just by the vocabulary she uses. In the movie she says "doing it" and that she has "done it." The time and place was not always appropriate so that I think is where her social skills come into play. Carla does use many practical skills. For example, when she realized she didn't want to be at home she managed to run away and fly right back to where she can from. She knew exactly where to go and how to get there and that is important to have in life.
